Justin Hunter - appearing at the Blue Mountains Music Festival of Folk, Roots and Blues, 2020 - in Katoomba!

Justin Hunter

Reminiscent of the likes of Nils Frahm, Einaudi and Enya, Hunter draws from his classical background to produce his signature sound — raw instrumental piano.

Raised in Katoomba, Hunter started his musical journey by simply selling his music on the streets. Thousands of albums were sold, purely from Hunter walking in and out of shops, introducing himself and playing his music to anyone that would listen.

Hunter studied the Japanese Suzuki Method for piano until furthering his studies at the NSW Conservatorium of Music in Sydney’s historic Botanical Gardens.

Hunter has been nominated for an Inside Film Award for "Best Music in Film", composed and directed the music video to his track Mountain Pass which received five short-film awards in the United States and has become the National music playlist curator for Endota Day Spas.

Hunter has amassed over a million streams on Spotify and his music is regularly featured in editorial playlists for those wishing to chill out, meditate, study or just relax. A perfect recipe for the bmmf when you need that important time.
