masthead - Blue Mountains Music Festival 2010 Newsletters

Time for picking up your earlybird tickets is running short.

Remember that December 31st is the deadline for this most economical of our offers. Festival tickets make a terrific Christmas gift for any music buff.

The latest addition to our stellar lineup is the exotic and talented Grace Barbé from Western Australia. With roots in the tiny Indian Ocean nation of Seychelles, home to a unique culture that fuses Africa, Europe and Asia, Grace Barbé (pronounced Bar-bay) is a singer, songwriter and musician whose music, like her mixed heritage, reflects and celebrates the diverse influences of her Creole culture. The combination of afro-Creole, island roots and reggae, sung in Creole, English and French, laced with a modern pop sensibility have created a fresh sound in world music fusion.

The other great world music acts on the bill include One Africa ( Lamine Sonko and Ebrima ‘King’ Marong ) , Djan Djan ( Mamadou Diabate, Jeff Lang and Bobby Singh ), Genticorum from Quebec, The Pigram Brothers and Noriko Tadano.

We also have The Kransky Sisters and Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen who seem to be from another planet.

Now’s a great time to go on line to check out the artist pictures and profiles and grab your tickets before you get caught up making mince pies and wrapping presents.
