Performers at Blue Mountains Music Festival 2019

Steve Appel and Melanie Horsnell - appearing at the Blue Mountains Music Festival of Folk, Roots and Blues, 2017 - in Katoomba!

Steve Appel and Melanie Horsnell

Two Australian singer-songwriters, Steve Appel (King Curly) from the Blue Mountains and Melanie Horsnell from Candelo in the Bega Valley, will present their songs together in a show they have recently toured to some acclaim in Europe called—wait for it—'Two Australian Songwriters'.

Their songs reflect their lives in two very different parts of regional NSW. Steve's have an unusual bent for Australian bush monsters and landscapes and audiences might be familiar with his work as an Earthern-artesian and alternative home artist in the Blue Mountains—brought to light in a recent popular documentary.

Melanie's life was of great interest to European audiences with her funny and sometimes heartbreaking stories and songs as a single mother of two living in the tiny town of Candelo.
